Dear Struggling Kenyan Actor; Use A Billboard To Get Known

Aspiring actors have always said the same thing, that it's hard to get through the tight-closed network of established Kenyan actors and if you want to get in the industry "it's all about who you know." Instead of promoting the idea that being an actor in Kenya is all about who you know; here is a thought, why not let everyone known you by using a billboard to get famous?

This light bulb was actually inspired from a New Jersey aspiring actress who pulled the same stunt by posting a billboard right next to Tyler Perry's Studio in Atlanta. She spent a whooping $1,500 (about Ksh.122,975) on the billboard, but she got the message out there and judging from social network response and her website racquelbailey.com Atlanta now knows about her.

The moral is don't spend the better part of what could be the start of your career hanging around KNT hoping to rub shoulders with the 'big shots.'  Let the industry know that you exist; post your showreel on YouTube, start a blog/website and check out actors.co.ke
