Nigerian Star Wizkid Partners With Akon's Konvict Music Through EME

Everyone has possibly heard a song or two from Nigerian star Wizkid and remember him from the recently concluded  Shuga Love Sex and Money. Wizkid took to Twitter and announced that he is 'excited and blessed' to get into a major deal with Akon's Konvict music through Empire Mates Entertainment (EME).

Last year it was reported that Akon had signed up P Square, Tu Face and Wizkid under his Konvict Music Africa label. We've already heard/seen the collabo between Akon and P square on Chop my money, and heard Akon's take on Wizkid's Don't Dull.



Empire Mates Entertainment is run by Banky W (who collaborated with L-Tido, Wizkid and Bon Eye in the Shuga LSM theme song) and they have signed a deal with Akon's Konvict music to produce and release Wizkid's album world wide.

We wish him all the best, but how come non of our Kenyan musicians have snagged up a deal with Akon's Konvict music?
