In 2012, the International Association of Art (IAA) declared April 15th as the World Art Day with the aim of promoting and creating awareness of art worldwide. We spoke to a few fine artists in Kenya to find out whether this day holds special meaning to them and this is what they had to say:
Victor Binge: "I not only celebrate the great artworks by Leonardo da Vinci and his birthday which is dedicated for the World Art Day but it is a great day for me to reflect on what other artists have done and the current trends of fine art today."

Daniel Adoyo: "To me the world art day is a day where non artist together with artist themselves embrace art in a more special manner."

Victor Mwangi: "World Art Day is not widely recognised here in Kenya, but it also happens to be Leonardo da Vinci's birthday. The guy's in widely known around, but the day isn't as much..."

We tip our hats to every fine artist in Kenya and globally for continually inspiring the world with beautiful art pieces.
