The Elegant Store was founded in 2012 and is run by Eunice Gikunju, based in Kenya, and Eunice Muchiri, based in the U.K. They stock an assortment of home furnishings including duvets and duvets covers as well as kitchenware. Their products come from the U.K and are highly demanded by the savvy Kenyan shopper looking to transform the outlook of their homes.

Eunice Gikunju says that 90% of their business culminates from online transactions through their Facebook page. She points out that it is easy to interact with clients online and discuss more about their specific needs to source for products that meet their demands. However, she says that the main challenge when it comes to transacting online is placing orders for clients products and when the products arrive some clients are often unreachable to pick up their products.
