Blogging For Fashion

Blogging is undeniably a favorite form of online expressionism, which a number of Kenyans have picked up including yours truly. Blogs allow you to air out your opinions in your chosen  lingo, style and most importantly they allow you to share with the rest of the world what you are passionate about. Different people start blogs for different reasons, but they are all always driven by a passion for something. 'Blogging for fashion' is something that has grown in popularity and has had the staying power in the blogsphere, with most of the popular Kenyan fashion bloggers clocking in at 3+ years of blogging. Without further ado,  not in any particular order, we'd like to present to you our list of top Kenyan fashion blogs that we follow.

You simply can't help but fall in love with Damaris Muga's witty use of words to talk about what she undisputedly loves; fashion. She says on her blog that she started it with the aim of giving her opinions to Kenyans on how to dress appropriately. She does digress a lot, we loyal fans appreciate this,  to talk about diverse things that she goes through in life which am sure we all can relate to in one way or another.  For the fashionistas always looking out for a good buy, Damaris does sell a couple of secondhand items at practically throw away prices which she says she sources from Gikomba/ Toi. She doesn't blog quite regularly, but once you read a couple of her posts you'll definitely be checking up on her blog for more posts.

2. FASHION NOTEBOOK

She blogs on the regular, always a good welcome for fashion junkies looking to keep up with trends and get insightful tips.

This is Ess was a fashion blog brought to my attention by a friend, since it is one of those radical sites you simply must introduce fellow fashion enthusiasts to. To begin with, Sharon Mundia who runs the blog is simply adorable and absolutely stunning which keeps you going back to check out what new ensemble she has racked up. What we love about her blog is how she ties every look to a memory or story from her life, showing that fashion is created out of the ordinary and projected with personality to create a literal walking piece of art. She also blogs on the regular, keeping hundreds if not thousands of fashion enthusiasts well sated.
